Diploma waivers denied for seven students

The state Board of Education on Tuesday denied four Broken Arrow students and two Tulsa students a waiver from a requirement that they pass four of seven end-of-instruction tests to receive a high school diploma.

Editorial -- We've heard more than enough rhetoric in recent months — in the past few years, really — over the Achieving Classroom Excellence law that requires Oklahoma students to pass four subject-area tests in order to graduate from high school.
