According to the UNDP “Youth in Turkey” report, girls are still being deprived of schooling because of gender discrimination. The lack of education then affects their whole lives.

Teachers should focus on skills like computing with whole numbers, fractions, geometry and measurement. Most importantly, those skills should be taught in a coherent sequence so that by late middle school, more students have a proper foundation from which to unravel the elegant puzzles of algebra.
